Naima Khan
Hello, this is Naima Khan. Currently, I am working as a Research Fellow in the Center for Devices & Radiological Health (CDRH) at US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). My current research focuses on the gait assessment with wearable sensors for neudegenerative disease patients. I completed my Ph.D. from University of Maryland Baltimore County in November 2023. During my doctoral research, I worked with Dr. Nirmalya Roy in Mobile, pervasive & Sensor Computing (MPSC) lab. My doctoral research focuses on applied machine learning in cyber-physical systems of building which is a part of NSF-funded project. I worked on developing unsupervised non-intrusive approaches using temperature and thermal images in order to extract spatio-temporal thermal characteristics of different surfaces in inside built environment. The overall contribution of my doctoral research can be found here. However, working in MPSC never stopped me working in other topics and domains. Besides, Before joining to the PhD program in UMBC, I completed my BS from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in February, 2013. On this site, I have shared my academic projects and research publications. If you want to know more about me, please go through the tabs on the left panel. For any questions or collaborations, feel free to shoot me an email at naimakhan076@gmail.com. Thanks for visiting my site !!! CV
